NextGen Leaders – a WPP series
NextGen Leaders is a 10-week hybrid learning series for early-career talent across the globe. The programme is designed to introduce you to WPP, the industry at large, our people, the work we produce, and what it is like to work at an agency.
We recognise the importance of access, exposure, learning, and development early in your career, and NextGen Leaders is designed to provide that for anyone with little to no experience in marketing or advertising.
Now in its third year, this first-of-its-kind learning experience will give you access to experts across WPP, our clients and partners, and provide you with opportunities to gain hands-on experience working on real client briefs across our offer to clients, including communications, experience, commerce and technology.
Built with inclusion at its core, NextGen Leaders aims to remove barriers for those wanting to enter the creative industry and improve diversity. Our 2021 cohort included a group of over 1,500 people, representing 60 different countries:
- 50% of participants in the US and UK identified as Black, Asian or LatinX
- 60% identified as female
- 11% identified as LGBTQ+
- 8% identified as having a disability/neurodiversity
We invite you to join us whether you are creative, love numbers, have fun with your social media, spot cultural trends before they take off, are the planner within your circle of friends, are motivated by social change and helping others, or if you are simply curious about what we do.
Registration for the Summer 2022 programme is now closed.
This year, we will also be hosting NextGen Health. This programme will provide the same access as the NextGen Leaders experience, and will introduce you to the healthcare advertising ecosystem and what it takes to produce creative, purpose-driven work for some of the largest brands while navigating the competitive, regulated healthcare market.
We invite you to join us if, on top of the above-mentioned attributes, you also have a particular interest in science, medicine and healthcare.
Registration for the 2022 programme is now closed.
Please note, all sessions will be conducted in English. Sessions will be broadcast live and recorded to accommodate participants from multiple time zones.
Reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
We are also hosting a NextGen Creators pilot in the US, to help address the disadvantages that content creators of underrepresented communities face. In addition to content creator specific learning opportunities, this programme will also provide access to some of the content in the NextGen Leaders experience.
Participants for the 30-person pilot will be recruited through TikTok. Applicants not selected for this cohort are invited to apply for the NextGen Leaders experience.
