WPP agencies unite to wish Merry Christmas to clients and partners in Spain
Through a nationwide internal competition, WPP’s people in Spain were brought together to execute a greeting card designed by Mindshare’s Vicente Bonet
With the aim to bring together all agencies in Spain and put WPP's creative transformation purpose into practice, WPP’s senior leadership team in Spain held a competition for its people across the country this autumn to design a WPP-wide festive greeting card for the company’s clients, partners and communities.
After weeks of design and submissions, more than 30 finalists representing over 15 local WPP companies were shortlisted. Following cross-agency deliberation, the concept put forward by Vicente Bonet, Client Lead at Mindshare Spain was chosen by a judging panel of local CEOs, headed by Juan Pedro Moreno, President of WPP in Spain.
Bonet’s winning greeting card concept came in the format of a heartfelt film, focusing on the power of communication during the festive period.
Directed by award-winning director Benito Zambrano Tejero and produced and edited by fellow WPP agency Hogarth, the three-minute film was shared with over 300 CEOs in Spain and was viewed over 5,000 times, with a high engagement rate on social in the week post launch in the run up to Christmas.
More importantly, the initiative brought together the talent of all WPP agencies in Spain, using the power of creativity outside of their day-to-day role and collaborating on a project to inspire positivity during the festive season.
