We are decarbonising our business and supply chain and supporting our clients’ carbon reduction efforts.
We’re committed to reducing absolute Scope 3 emissions (including emissions from media buying and production – an industry first) by 50% by 2030.
Our targets are verified by the SBTi. In 2026 we will update our carbon commitments, introducing long-term commitments.
WPP campuses
Our campus strategy centres on repurposing iconic older buildings, retaining as much of the original structure and fittings as possible to preserve embodied carbon and reduce environmental impact. At One Southwark Bridge, our newest London office, we retained almost 75% of the existing structure, avoiding around 60% of the embodied carbon compared to demolition and rebuild. The building has achieved BREEAM Outstanding certification – awarded to only about 1% of assessed new construction projects – in recognition of its highly sustainable design, advanced technologies and innovative practices that minimise environmental impact, reduce waste and promote biodiversity.
Our travel
Reducing unnecessary travel globally, supported by the digital collaboration tools – including WPP Open – that make working across geographies genuinely efficient.
Our supply chain
Using our scale and procurement power to drive decarbonisation across our value chain.
Our clients
We help clients reach and communicate their sustainability commitments credibly and compellingly – using world-class creativity, trusted data and cutting-edge intelligence to build the kind of trust that drives long-term growth.
By embedding sustainability across the business we can earn trust and deliver growth for our people, clients and partners.
