Patient centricity: leveraging digital to connect with consumers

WPP partnered with The Economist Events to host leading brands and thought leaders in a discussion about emerging healthcare trends

Technology is changing the way that patients, consumers and healthcare providers engage with diseases and health information. Digital interventions and disruptions are happening all along patient and disease pathways: from awareness to symptoms, screening and diagnosis, as well as adherence, compliance and outcomes. The COVID-19 pandemic has vastly accelerated this process.

To understand more, WPP partnered with The Economist Events, enlisting healthcare professionals and thought leaders to take part in two virtual roundtables.

Moderated by Rohit Sahgal, the principal for Global Health in Asia at the Economist Intelligence Unit, Patient centricity: leveraging digital to connect with consumers in a modern world, took place online on 30 June 2021.

Key topics discussed include:

• Delivering against patient expectations
• The need for healthcare strategies to be customised to specific markets within APAC
• Crisis as an opportunity for innovation
