Lindsay Pattison, Chief People Officer of WPP, said: "WPP is committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive so that we can deliver the best results for some of world’s leading brands. These six leaders exemplify our belief that diverse perspectives, including those shaped by disability, neurodiversity and mental health experiences, are essential for driving innovation, especially as we navigate the transformative potential of AI. We are immensely proud to have them recognised on the Involve Enable Role Model list."
WPP is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture, reflected in its internal initiatives and partnerships with industry-leading organisations. As a member of The Valuable 500, a global collective of 500 CEOs and their companies committed to putting disability inclusion on their business leadership agendas, WPP is actively innovating for disability inclusion. WPP is also a founding member of Neurodiversity in Business, a forum dedicated to promoting neuroinclusive workplaces.
This commitment is brought to life through programmes like WPP’s Mental Health Allies, which trains employees to support colleagues experiencing mental health challenges, and Inclusion as a Skill, a global training programme that equips all employees with the skills to become inclusive leaders. In addition, WPP’s employee resource groups (ERGs) harness the talent and passion of our people to drive change, with Wavemaker's ERG ENABLE winning the Outstanding Disability Network of the Year award at the 2023 European Diversity Awards.
WPP’s focus on inclusion extends to client work, which help world-leading brands connect with diverse audiences and drive positive social impact. WPP agencies are developing innovative solutions in partnership with its clients and partners, from raising awareness of age-related macular degeneration through animation in Genentech’s A Beautiful Sight campaign to transforming product barcodes into accessible verbal information with Haleon’s Access Codes and Microsoft. WPP is also challenging stereotypes with campaigns like VodafoneZiggo’s The Magician and addressing mental health needs with CALM’s Unseen Signals. This also extends to inclusive product design, as seen in Landor’s {access}ories and VML’s award-winning work on Augmental’s MouthPad^, another example of how WPP is helping to create a more accessible future for our people, clients and the communities within which it operates.
