Wellbeing

We believe in a holistic approach to wellbeing that helps our people live a balanced life.

The challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, racial injustice, political division, and many other issues around the globe have taken their toll on our mental, emotional, financial, physical, career and community wellbeing. There are no simple answers to these complex issues that affect each person differently, but we are putting our people first to anticipate and support their wellbeing needs.

Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available globally for our people and eligible family members to access free, confidential counselling and support. EAP also offers shared resources on topics such as managing stress, dealing with loss, and referrals to local financial or legal help.

We launched our Mental Health Allies programme to ensure our people feel safe, supported and healthy. Mental Health Allies are employees who volunteer for training in how to listen and guide others to key resources. We have over 550 Allies in the UK, US and Singapore, with plans to expand into India and Brazil in 2023.

We run a Safe Room discussion series to give our people spaces for open and honest conversations. This is open to our various communities across the network.

To recognise World Mental Health Day and other international mental health awareness moments, we curate global programmes of wellbeing events, mindfulness sessions and educational wellbeing resources.

We are also founding partners of the Global Business Collaboration for Better Workplace Mental Health, to advocate for – and accelerate – positive change for mental health in the workplace.

If you work at WPP you can find details on how to access free and confidential counselling and support, physical and mental resources and other wellbeing news here.

Connecting with our people

Delivered to over 100,000 people worldwide, The Weekly – WPP’s internal newsletter – showcases the latest news, work and thinking from across the network. It includes business updates, celebrates important cultural moments and fosters a sense of community for our people.

We host virtual, global CEO-led townhalls, allowing our people to hear from the company’s leadership directly and ask questions on topics of importance to them.

Making Space

We believe that to be our most creative, reach our full potential and look after our wellbeing, we all need space. Space to breathe, to recharge, to reflect. And space to celebrate what we’ve achieved together.

That’s why we launched our Making Space initiative, kicking off with a global, company-wide, two-day holiday, give everyone the space to refresh and recharge.

We continue to invest in Making Space across all our campuses and offices for our people to reconnect, grow and be inspired.
