WPP in France today launches a new volunteering programme for its people – We Care & We Act – in partnership with social engagement platform Wenabi.

As part of WPP’s purpose to build better futures for people, the planet and communities, WPP in France will give its employees the chance to volunteer with local organisations aligned with WPP’s values from June onwards. Through the Wenabi platform, the talent, skills and interests of WPP people – either as individuals or teams – can be matched with requests for volunteer support, enabling positive action in the community quickly and collaboratively.

Louise Mertzeisen, People Lead of WPP in France and HR Director of GroupM France says: “We are pleased to announce the launch of our We Care & We Act programme that will enable our people to have a direct impact on volunteering projects that are close to their hearts. The initiatives that will be supported tackle major global challenges and reflect our values as a company, such as protecting the environment, supporting educational projects and fighting against inequality.”

Each employee will have the space to choose a cause that matters to them and volunteer their time with a community project, either during personal or working hours. Whether on an ad-hoc or regular basis, face-to-face or remotely, the projects offered are numerous and varied: from distributing meals with the Salvation Army and collecting bio-waste for ELLSA, to organising books for Libraries Without Borders and mentoring young people interested in the creative industries with JobIRL.

Mathieu Morgensztern, Country Manager of WPP in France and CEO GroupM France adds: “This partnership not only supports our people to use their time and talent to build better futures, but it also serves to strengthen the community culture of WPP in France that will soon be housed under one roof at our new Paris Campus.”
