2016 seems to be the year in which data investment management has begun to deliver on its enormous potential for our clients and their customers. The incredible range of entries demonstrate that WPP agencies are using a full spectrum of data sources and techniques to not only find and know our clients’ customers better, but to deliver something genuinely useful to them. This commitment to utility is what marked out the winners and highly commended entries and will be at the heart of industry developments over the next few years, as our agencies deliver everything from targeted flight deals and tailored vacation itineraries, to pain management technology.
Our Crème de la Crème is the truly jaw-dropping Next Rembrandt from J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam which is an extraordinary demonstration of the potential for technology to scale human creativity. Rather than being a potentially threatening example of machines taking over human roles, this was an incredible example of how humans can harness the power of data to amplify and extend original creative work.
