Ogilvy PR takes home 4 awards with best PR campaign win for Traffic Police

SINGAPORE — Ee Rong Chong, Managing Director of Ogilvy Public Relations (Ogilvy PR) and Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) Group Singapore, was named Outstanding PR Professional of the Year at the PRISM (Public Relations In the Service of Mankind) Awards 2017. Ogilvy PR also took home four awards including the highly coveted Best PR Campaign of the Year award for the Traffic Police “Use Your Road Sense” campaign.

Robert Conceicao, President, Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS), said, “We are delighted to confer the Outstanding PR Professional award upon Ee Rong. She has been a strong advocate of how PR can, and should, be core in the multi-disciplinary mix of marketing communications. Throughout her stellar career as a PR practitioner, she has done a great deal to elevate our industry’s standards of professionalism and has supported IPRS in our efforts to groom the next generation of PR professionals. Organized by IPRS, the PRISM Awards were created to encourage, recognize and reward organizations and individuals for excellence in public relations and communications, and contributions to raising the level of PR professionalism in Singapore. Since its inception in 1987, the Awards have been given to some 160 organizations for their creativity, originality and application of public relations and communications practices across all sectors.

A 16-year Ogilvy PR veteran, Chong was appointed to the newly created Ogilvy & Mather Group Managing Director post in October 2016 to accelerate the implementation of the network’s “Next Chapter” strategy, which centers on deeper integration across disciplines and the advancement of modern marketing services such as data analytics, marketing automation and digital media. In addition to this role, Chong continues to serve as Managing Director of Ogilvy PR Singapore.
