Richard Attias & Associates unveil first chatbot for world leaders
22 June, 2017
NEW YORK, NY
— Bringing a lighthearted approach to the normally serious field of international affairs, Richard Attias & Associates
today unveiled a chatbot that cleverly reminds world leaders that technology can never surpass the problem-solving power of face-to-face gatherings.
Launched today as part of a major online expansion that includes a powerful video highlighting the global strategic consulting firm’s leadership and expertise, “The 30 Second Solution: The first chatbot dedicated to world leaders” prompts each user to enter their job title, such as head of state, CEO, or government official, and the type of issue they seek to solve -- from economic, peace, and security to environment, health, and education. After a short series of interactions and questions, the chatbot ultimately concludes: “Did you really think you could team up with a chatbot to save the world?”
The chatbot is the brainchild of founder Richard Attias, who reinvented the World Economic Forum in Davos when he took over as producer from 1996 through 2006. Attias launched the Clinton Global Initiative and the Nobel Laureates Conference, and his company now develops strategies and live platforms for governments, corporations, and NGOs. He has organized more than 2,000 high-level summits, conferences, and forums over the course of his career.
This idea is reinforced by a dynamic new full-screen screen video that greets visitors when they arrive at the revamped website. Using archival footage, the video explores how conventional wisdom, such as “Trump would never win” or “Brexit didn’t stand a chance,” has consistently been proven wrong in recent years. It concludes with the declaration: “Forget the future, get ready for now. In this unpredictable world RA+A will guide you through it. In this unpredictable world, communication is the way to understand and be understood. RA+A, we need to talk.”
Attias founded Richard Attias & Associates in 2009. Recent initiatives include last month’s LIGHT Forum
, where more than 200 high-level executives and policymakers from the Trump, Obama, and Bush administrations explored the future of healthcare; the Argentina Business and Investment Forum
, which brought together President Mauricio Macri and dozens of international business leaders, leading to major new foreign investments in Argentina; and MiSK Global Forum
, which brought 1,500 innovators from around the world to Saudi Arabia.
Other public-sector clients of RA&A have included the African Development Bank, the United Nations, and the governments of Bahrain, Brazil, China, Dubai, France, Gabon, Jordan, Morocco, Qatar, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, UAE, UK, and the US.
