KUALA LUMPUR — Wunderman Malaysia has appointed Julian Lee to the newly-created role of senior business director. Lee took up the post in August, he reports to Nimesh Desai, managing director of Wunderman Southeast Asia.

Lee’s primary focus is the management and business development of Wunderman’s roster of global and local clients.

“It’s about going beyond conventional advertising at the cusp of data and creativity,” Lee said, “bringing the best and most relevant digital marketing solutions to clients. Wunderman Malaysia are obviously a dynamic and hungry team who have been carefully selected for their specialized skill sets and talents. Together, I’m confident that we will continue growing from strength to strength.”

“More businesses and clients are now realizing the importance of CRM and are seeking data-driven creative solutions to boost their direct marketing capabilities — which is Wunderman’s key expertise,” said Desai. “Julian’s decade of relevant experience and understanding of the Malaysia market, which itself is undergoing rapid growth, makes him the ideal choice to steer our business development there.”

Lee was most recently account director at Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide. Prior to that, he served as associate account director and senior account manager at TBWA Kuala Lumpur. Lee has worked with a range of clients including Visa, Mondelez, Proton Holdings Berhad, IJM Land, Maybank, Guinness Anchor Berhad, Mead Johnson and Symantec.
