Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide holds first Community Service Day
1 May, 2015
— Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide (www.ochww.com
), the health behavior change experts of Ogilvy & Mather (www.ogilvy.com
), and a WPP company (NASDAQ: WPPGY, www.wpp.com), announced that they held the organization’s first OCHWW Community Outreach Day yesterday, offering employees the opportunity to volunteer their time for the day and support local community charities in their neighborhoods.
On Thursday, April 30, nearly 250 Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide employees from the group’s New Jersey, New York, Georgia, North Carolina, California and Connecticut offices volunteered their time to work with almost 30 nonprofit groups on a wide variety of service projects in their local communities. Through the continued efforts of the Ogilvy Spirit Committee, which spearheaded this initiative, participating employees from OCHWW donated their time and energy at a number of healthcare-related charities, soup kitchens and food banks, community parks, children’s hospitals, and animal shelters throughout the country.
The Ogilvy Spirit Committee was created in 2014, in an effort to embrace all areas of the Ogilvy & Mather culture and further incorporate Ogilvy ideals into Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide’s best practices. The committee was built on five pillars: DO Tell, DO Your Best, DO Appreciate, DO Good, and DO Fun. Thursday’s Community Outreach Day is part of the Spirit Committee’s DO Good pillar aimed at providing charitable and volunteer work in and around our communities.
“Our inaugural OCHWW Community Outreach Day is the result of a deep desire within the Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide family to participate in goodwill projects within their communities and provide our employees with the chance to make a difference and help those in need,” said Darlene Dobry, Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide managing partner, who oversees the Ogilvy Spirit Committee.
