Ogilvy's Martin Sillen to be inducted into the Beautiful People Hall of Fame

), the health behavior experts of Ogilvy & Mather (www.ogilvy.com), today announced the New Jersey-based group’s VP of facilities and procurement, Martin Sillen, will be inducted into the Beautiful People’s Hall of Fame on Friday, October 24, at Falkirk Estate and Country Club in Central Valley, NY. Beautiful People is a charity based in Warwick, NY, that provides sports programs for children and young adults with disabilities.

Established as a nonprofit organization in 2007, Beautiful People’s mission is to build bridges between children with disabilities and their families and the broader community of Orange County, NY, by providing adaptive sports programs for children ages five and up, and young adults.
Beautiful People’s sixth annual fall fundraiser — the “Out of the Park” Dinner Dance, an old-fashioned ballpark-themed event — will include dinner, music and dancing, raffles, and an auction. Mr. Sillen, the nonprofit’s third Hall of Fame inductee, will be honored for his commitment and contributions to the sustainability of Beautiful People’s sports programming and activities.
Mr. Sillen has been on Beautiful People’s board of directors for three years and actively involved with the charity for five years. Over the years, he has worked on various sports programming and fundraising efforts including golf outings and boat rides, and has played an essential role in the development of the organization’s basketball program. Mr. Sillen’s passion for the organization stems from his devotion to his grandson, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and his motivation to bring programs to children who do not have the same opportunities for team sports as mainstream youth.
