Rob Rogers appointed judge at first Cannes Lions Health Festival

NEW YORK — Sudler & Hennessey, one of the leading global healthcare communication networks, is very pleased to announce that Rob Rogers has been appointed as a member of the first Health & Wellness jury at the new Cannes Lions Health Festival 2014. The Cannes Lions Festival prides itself on selecting the industry’s leading experts as judges, and works hard to ensure that each jury is balanced, global, and neutral.
Lions Health is a new two-day festival celebrating the power of creativity in healthcare marketing and communications, while honoring the world’s best work that reflects unique perspectives and ways of thinking. While recognizing the industry’s intricacies and the regulatory framework of healthcare marketing, the new Lions Health Awards will set a new standard for creative excellence and celebrate only the very best.
The Lions Health Festival will be held June 13-14, 2014, in Cannes and honor creative communications in pharma, including communications to healthcare professionals as well as campaigns aimed at consumers that revolve around prescription medicines and devices; and healthcare and wellness (consumer products, education, and services.) All the winning entries will be presented with a Lion trophy at an awards ceremony on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes.
Currently serving as global creative officer and Co-CEO of the Americas, Rob began his 30 year career as an art director at DDB Sydney, Australia, and has experience in almost every aspect of the creative healthcare communications business. First joining Sudler during the 80s, he then went on to build and manage his own agency for four years. He returned to Sudler and now has responsibility for six US divisions and offices in the Americas. He has developed a major oncology franchise, integrated digital within the agency, and developed managed market, e- health, and patient divisions.
During his career, Rob has led creative teams that were responsible for the launch and ongoing campaigns for many of the largest brands in healthcare history, including Nexium, Celebrex, Actonel, Advair, Imitrex, Augmentin, Botox, and Lexapro.
A highly recognized creative director, Rob has received awards for his efforts at major shows in New York, London, and Sydney. Recently, Rob was appointed to the Advisory Council of the first Clio Healthcare Awards, and in November 2012, he was awarded the distinguished CLIO Lifetime Achievement Award in NY.
