Chris Loll tapped to lead Wunderman New York
11 May, 2012
— Wunderman chairman and CEO Daniel Morel promoted Chris Loll to the position of managing director of the agency’s New York office. Loll, a veteran leader of 12 years, has risen through the ranks at Wunderman, taking on a succession of senior management roles. He takes over from David Shulman, who is pursuing a global leadership role at another agency. The change is effective immediately.
As managing director of Wunderman New York, Loll reports directly to Morel and becomes a member of Wunderman’s global Leadership Board.
In making the announcement Morel said “Chris can step right in to this role, not only because of his proven track record of solving problems for several of Wunderman’s largest enterprise clients, but because of his deep appreciation of the creative process which is powered by insights. The result is accountable imagination that informs, measures and ensures client success.”
In New York, Loll served for the last year as senior vice president, Innovation and Growth, actively engaged with enterprise clients Diageo, Nokia and Coca-Cola. In January of this year, following a lengthy and competitive pitch, Loll assumed the Team Lead position for Best Buy; he will continue in this role.
“I am a firm believer in order for clients to engage the ‘always on’ consumer, they need to fuse data and creativity. That’s the essential first step towards long term consumer engagement,” said Loll. ”In short, creative ideas are the only currency that matter.”
In 2002, Loll began his tenure with Wunderman, based in Irvine. Subsequently, he has held management positions in Seattle and London working with a wide variety of clients such as Hilton, Mattel, Xbox, Sony, Chevron, Bacardi, Colgate, BBC and Microsoft.
Loll received his Bachelor's degree in Biology and Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and his Master's degree from UCLA Anderson School of Management. About Wunderman
