Landor Associates introduces Global Creative Officer to leadership ranks

Annual rotating role to be held by Peter Knapp for first year
Landor Associates, one of the world’s leading branding and design firms, today announced the promotion of Peter Knapp to the role of global creative officer. The position is a new one for the firm and will rotate annually, with someone different taking the reins each year.
With a successful career at Landor of nearly 20 years, Knapp will continue to be based in London’s office, performing his duties as executive creative director of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while also taking on these new responsibilities. Knapp has spearheaded the evolution of the company’s creative offering in the London office, strengthening the talent portfolio with digital and filmmaking expertise. As Landor’s first global creative officer, Knapp will focus on enriching and elevating the capabilities of designers and creative leaders, while working to develop career paths within and across the firm’s global network.

In his new role, Knapp will also partner with internal teams to improve the approach to sourcing and hiring creative talent optimizing creativity for external recognition and awards and driving a new era of creativity through Landor. His experience working in several offices throughout the Landor network will help him build a strong creative community within the network and makes him well quipped to excel in his new position.

As a rotational role, Landor’s global leadership team will reevaluate the firm’s creative priorities and areas of growth in order to identify the global creative officer for that year.

Peter Knapp is executive creative director, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and global creative officer of Landor, based in the London office of Landor Associates.
Peter has been creative director at Landor for more than 19 years. He started working in the London office in 1993 and subsequently moved to the Hong Kong office in 1995. There, he had overall responsibility for steering and directing all branding programs in Southeast Asia. He returned to London in 1996, where he now oversees all creative work generated within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Peter specializes in integrated branding and design programs where graphic and three-dimensional designs are used together to form total branded experiences for consumers. He has a broad range of local and global experience for corporate, service, retail, and consumer-packaged goods brands.
He is widely known for his unparalleled expertise in airline branding, from flag carriers to low-cost brands. He also has a broad range of experience in other industries, including automotive, petroleum, spirits, financial services, telecommunications, retail, and leisure. Some of his clients include BP, De Beers, Diageo, Ernst & Young, Land Rover, Maybourne Hotel Group, Morrisons, Preem, and S7.
Peter has a first class BA with commendation in dimensional design from Middlesex University.
