Jägermeister hires Clarion

LONDON — Clarion Communications has been appointed to work for Jägermeister following a competitive four-way pitch.

The joint Consumer and Trade campaign will see Clarion supporting Jägermeister - the eighth largest spirit brand in the world - across a range of brand building programmes. These include working closely with Jägermeister’s Music Manager, Tom Carson, to support gig and festival activity across the UK this year.

Clarion was awarded the brief after the successful pitch with both UK distributor Cellar Trends and Jägermeister’s head office team from Germany.

Terry Barker, Director of Marketing for Cellar Trends, said: “Clarion won the business because they demonstrated a high level of professionalism in their strategic thinking and approach. We feel they will bring very relevant experience from the worlds of both drinks and music.”

Clarion has previously worked for a number of high profile drinks brands, particularly across music festivals, live performances and related national TV programming.

Gary Freemantle, Clarion Communications CEO, added: “The contract includes a campaign targeting trend-setting 20-30 year old male consumers, a corporate reputation campaign, and a drive to encourage the serving of Jägermeister ice cold.

“It’s a very exciting brand and we’re delighted to be working with Jägermeister in an area we know so well.”

The campaign, which starts this month (March), will be headed up by Board Director Lucy Allen.
