Y&R appoints Sylvester Song as regional creative director

— Y&R today announced the appointment of Sylvester ‘Sly’ Song as regional creative director of content for Colgate Palmolive Asia.
Song reports to Tan Shen Guan, regional executive creative director for Colgate Palmolive Asia.
Commenting on the appointment, Tan Shen Guan said: “This role is one of the first of its kind, as Sly becomes the first senior Creative Director devoted full-time to leading content development and production. This is a Y&R innovation.”
Sylvester ‘Sly’ Song’s two-decade career spans Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, at agencies including J Walter Thompson, McCann Erickson, Bates, Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy. He has produced acclaimed campaigns for leading brands Coca-Cola, Heineken, McDonald’s, HSBC and Cathay Pacific.
Song was instrumental in Cathay Pacific winning the acclaimed Kam Fan, the best of show at the Kam Fan Awards (HK4As). The Gunn Report 2007 named his campaign for Cathay Pacific’s 60th Anniversary he 12th Most Awarded Commercial in the World.
