Angela Merkel appoints WPP's Blumberry as lead agency for 2013 election campaign

— Blumberry has been selected as creative and lead agency for the 2013 federal parliamentary election campaign of the German governing party CDU (Christian Democratic Union of Germany).
“For the parliamentary elections we have chosen Blumberry because we were convinced by their performance, exceptional creativity and especially by the excitement about our common goal: the success of the CDU. In 2013, we want to be in the lead again, backed by a modern election campaign. That is why we have chosen Blumberry, one of the best agencies in its field, as a partner,” said CDU Secretary-General Herman Gröhe.
“A creative and up-to-date campaign for the governing party CDU – there is hardly any more exciting task for an ambitious communications agency,” said Lutz Meyer, managing partner of Blumberry.
Blumberry will develop and implement the conceptual and creative thread of the campaign together with the CDU. This includes the promotional presence of the party and the candidates, film and audio productions, digital communication, the scenographic presentation of the party as well as literature, publications, and material for the parliamentary election campaign.
