JWT agrees to acquire full ownership of Manajans/JWT

LONDON — JWT Chief Executive Officer of Europe Toby Hoare announced today that JWT has agreed to acquire full ownership of Manajans/JWT, one of Turkey’s best known agencies. JWT and Manajans have had a relationship since 1985 when JWT took a minority stake in the agency. JWT, which is part of WPP, has now acquired the remaining shares in Manajans, subject to regulatory approval.

Founded in 1944 in Istanbul, Manajans/JWT is a fully integrated agency that works with a broad range of clients including Turkcell, Ulker, Nokia, Bayer and Shell.
Tuğbay Bilbay, Chief Executive Officer of Manajans/JWT, will continue in his operational position along with having the creative chair within the agency. Meggy Halfon, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will also continue in her position.
