Cohn & Wolfe named Agency of Record for Pete & Gerry's Organics

11 April, 2012

ATLANTA — Cohn & Wolfe (, a leading communications agency, has been appointed public relations agency of record (AOR) for Pete & Gerry’s Organics, a leading cage-free egg producer with exclusive U.S. commercial rights to several types of heirloom eggs hatched by Ameraucana and Marans hens. These heirloom eggs, characterized by natural blue or chocolate brown shell coloring, are known for deep yellow yolks and very rich flavor used by top chefs.

After a competitive review, the New Hampshire-based company chose Cohn & Wolfe to develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy including elevating its brand profile and its mission of responsible, humane farming. Pete & Gerry’s is expanding into new U.S. markets and recruiting like-minded family farmers to join in its production of cage-free eggs. The account will be based out of Cohn & Wolfe’s Atlanta office.

“We needed a firm with the ability to reach multiple national markets, that understood the retail and food service business and knew how to generate brand visibility for our eggs,” said Karl Johnson, Marketing Director for Pete and Gerry’s Organic Eggs. “After reviewing several excellent PR firms, we chose Cohn & Wolfe. We were impressed with the knowledge and energy of their staff. They had done their homework and understood what we need to do. They presented solid ideas. It was a good fit from the first meeting.”

Cohn & Wolfe has extensive experience in the consumer products sector, representing a wide range of industries from luxury spirits to beloved household goods, beauty brands to international fast food chains. Cohn & Wolfe’s consumer practice concentrates on the intersection of strategic insight and bold ideas, producing award-winning campaigns that deliver business results for clients.

“Pete & Gerry’s Organics is a true thought-leader in the responsible farming and sustainability movements and is a perfect addition to our other leading consumer brand clients,”said Jim Joseph, President of Cohn & Wolfe North America. “We look forward to advancing the company’s reputation among consumers and influencers and to spreading the word.”
