Y&R Indonesia first to launch Zed Pod global initiative

Andrew Dowling, CEO of Y&R Indonesia today announced that the agency is the first in Y&R’s global network to launch the exciting new Zed Pod initiative.
The search is on for Indonesia’s brightest digital talent as Y&R Indonesia and The Campaign Palace will open the world’s first Zed Pod in May 2012.
Zed Pod’s mission is to jump start digital capability in growing markets. Five specialist graduates, fresh from university, and carefully chosen by Y&R will be a part of the entrepreneurial experience of a lifetime. Sponsored by Y&R, Zed Pod will be a digital agency which the successful candidates will envision, build and lead.
Y&R Indonesia is currently seeking candidates with a variety of digital skillsets including Creative, Design, Strategy and Back-end Development, from the University of Indonesia and BINUS University, as well as from other tertiary educational institutions across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. The five successful Zed Pod candidates start in June, each of them mentored by various experienced senior personnel within Y&R Indonesia, but with the freedom to shift and shape the charter and the future of Zed Pod.
Instrumental in the Zed Pod initiative will be digital hotshop VML Qais, formed following Y&R’s acquisition of a majority stake in Qais in December 2011. The Zed Pod programme is part of Y&R’s wider plan to source for the best digital talent in Indonesia, in its preparation to expand the VML Qais offering into Jakarta in 2012.
