GroupM announces major promotions

SHANGHAI — GroupM China is pleased to announce several important appointments in its trading unit.

Jin Wanjun, currently President of GroupM Trading, will be appointed Chairman, GroupM Trading, China. In his new role, Wanjun will oversee the Group’s trading strategy and trading position, and to mentor the leadership team of GroupM Trading.

“Wanjun’s strong leadership and excellent media trading experience have contributed greatly to the Group’s excellent media vendor relations management and enhanced ability to optimize trading opportunities for our clients’ benefit, “ said Bessie Lee, CEO, GroupM China.

Tony Chen, currently Managing Director, GroupM Interaction, China, will be appointed President, Media Management, GroupM Trading, China and will oversee trading across all media. He will continue to manage GroupM Interaction and in this role, he will be promoted to President, GroupM Interaction, China, reporting to Bessie.

Andrew Carter, currently National Head of Tactical Planning, will be promoted to President, Investment Management, GroupM Trading, China and will be responsible for the Group’s tactical planning strategy across all media.

As Presidents of GroupM Trading, Tony and Andrew will report to Bessie and Wanjun, with immediate effect.
