Boehringer Ingelheim award Dulcolax business to Campaigns & Grey Philippines

3 March, 2011

SINGAPORE — Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the world’s top pharmaceutical companies, appointed Campaigns & Grey Philippines as its creative agency to handle the regional TV campaign for its laxative brand, Dulcolax.

Headquartered in Germany, the Boehringer Ingelheim group is one of the world’s 20 leading pharmaceutical companies. Committed to research, development and manufacturing of novel products of high therapeutic value for human and veterinary medicine, the group’s products include prescription medicines for hypertension and cardiovascular diseases as well as over-the-counter products for common ailments like coughs, colds and stomach aches.

According to Mely Guerrero, Consumer Health Care Group Brand Manager, Boehringer Ingelheim, “Partnering with Campaigns & Grey on the regional TV campaign has been a challenging but rewarding venture. They have surpassed our expectations on creativity, quality of account servicing and turnaround of deliverables. We felt the agency’s genuine support and ownership to make the campaign a success.”

Henry Chua, Management Supervisor of Campaigns & Grey Philippines, says “Although the Dulcolax business was awarded via a global alignment through Grey Healthcare Group, this win was a great achievement for us as we were presented with an opportunity to expand our healthcare portfolio. Campaigns & Grey had previously worked with Boehringer Ingelheim on its vitamin brand, Pharmaton, and the experience gained gave us the edge in terms of understanding the client and their expectations.”

He adds that the Dulcolax work which was locally originated, still appeals to the regional market. “We are positive about having created ‘Famously Effective’ communications that projects Dulcolax in fresh new ways, and we hope to help grow the brand in the country and around the region,” Chua says.

Campaigns & Grey embarked on the conceptualisation and production of a TVC and the first campaign was launched last February 26, 2011.

The positive relationship between Boehringer Ingelheim and Campaigns & Grey also prompted the pharmaceutical company to award the public relations mandate for Dulcolax to Campaigns & Grey’s public relations arm, Campaigns PR Inc.

Boehringer Ingelheim joins Campaigns & Grey’s roster of clients which includes Procter & Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, Sara Lee, Pfizer, AXA, Sara Lee, Electrolux, Sun Cellular, SM Investments Corporation, Rockwell Land, Ginebra San Miguel, Inc. and Universal Robina Corp.
