Hill & Knowlton Singapore hones expertise in defence and security
13 June, 2011
— Hill & Knowlton, a full service international communications consultancy, has expanded its suite of offerings to include defence and security.
Managing Director, Baey Yam Keng, first championed defence and security in mid 2009 to clinch the account for Singapore Airshow 2010, Asia’s largest aerospace and defence event. The agency soon carved a niche in aviation and national defence communications, having helmed campaigns for Total Defence from 2009 to 2011 and Singapore Global Dialogue 2010, a global meeting organised by security research think tank, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies. It recently added new capabilities in naval defence following the conclusion of its work for IMDEX 2011, a prestigious international maritime defence show in Asia Pacific, and won contract renewals to manage the communications strategies for Singapore Global Dialogue 2011 and Singapore Airshow 2012.
“The field of defence and security requires specialised knowledge of its politics, economics and operations. Few agencies can claim to have this area of expertise and partner clients in thought leadership, trade business and public outreach. I am therefore very pleased that Hill & Knowlton is gaining good traction in growing our credentials for the defence and security sector despite the challenging and intricate nature of the subject matter.” said Baey.
