MEC wins Allianz Australia media account

SYDNEY — MEC Australia, www.mecglobal.com, has won the Allianz Australia media planning and buying account following a pitch against incumbent OMD.

The agency’s win was based on their integrated strategic approach, including all media channels, digital (search, social media and display advertising), analytics and data management.

The first round of the pitch also included Maxus, with the second round coming down to MEC and OMD.

Peter Vogel, Chief Executive Officer of MEC, said: “The win is a direct result of the excellent new talent we have attracted into the agency and our capabilities across paid, owned and earned channels and platforms. We are looking forward to helping Allianz achieve its business goals in the Australian market.”

MEC take over the account in July.
