Cohn & Wolfe appoints Stephen M. Brown to lead Atlanta office

ATLANTA – Cohn & Wolfe (, a leading global communications agency, has appointed Stephen M. Brown as Executive Vice President, Managing Director for Cohn & Wolfe Atlanta. Brown joins from MSL where he was Senior Vice President and led the consumer practice.

Cohn & Wolfe’s Atlanta office was the first location in the agency’s global network. The office has a rich heritage and strength in consumer marketing and currently serves global brands such as Walmart, 3M, Solta Medical and Hyatt. The office also has extensive experience in the Atlanta community, having supported numerous regional brands and organizations such as Atlantic Station and Grady Hospital. As Market Leader, Brown will oversee the office’s day-to-day operations, client relations and business development activities. He will report directly to Cohn & Wolfe CEO Donna Imperato.

Brown brings more than 15 years of agency and in-house experience, working with leading brands such as McDonald’s, The Home Depot, Coca-Cola, Cisco, UPS and General Mills. At MSL, he led a range of corporate and consumer campaigns including promoting the sustainability milestones of carpet manufacturer InterfaceFLOR and successfully launching new products such as McCafé specialty coffee, Porsche Cayenne, Philips Ambilight technology and the Coca-Cola Freestyle touch screen beverage experience. Prior to joining MSL, he was Director of Corporate Communications at Atlanta-based technology company Macquarium. Previously, he served as Director, Technology Media Relations for Ketchum.

Brown is an active participant and graduate of Leadership Atlanta and a two-term Board President of Jerusalem House. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for PRSA|GA and the Center for Puppetry Arts and the Advisory Board for the Alliance Theatre.
