11 August, 2011
BUENOS AIRES —
GREYgroup has appointed Montserrat Villafañe Molina as General Manager of the local office to head Grey and G2 operations, and to continue working for their leading clients P&G, GSK and Coca-Cola, among others.
“The challenge is still to achieve the greatest creative development in building up our brand business while also expanding operations. I’ve been part of GREYgroup Argentina for more than a year now, and in that time we’ve put together a great team and I’m sure we’re going to carry on reaping the benefits of all we’ve done in that time,” said Villafañe Molina.
Up to now, the operation has been headed by Santiago Puiggari “who we thank for all his work at Grey,” said Riccardo Ferraris, Grey’s Regional Director, who added: “This new stage for GREYgroup Argentina is in keeping with the transformation of the business and responds to a global strategy. We’re going to continue to invest in our Buenos Aires office so as to continue maintaining the creative standards we’ve achieved over recent years. Montserrat will be taking on the great challenge of developing our clients’ brands both locally and regionally.”
Ferraris also confirmed that after five years Pablo Gil and Sebastián Garín will soon be taking their leave of the agency’s general creative management, after successfully positioning Grey Argentina as one of the most creative operations in the global network. “Montserrat is heading the search for a new General Creative Director for the Agency and there will soon be news on that score,” said Ferraris.
Villafañe Molina arrived at Grey Group Argentina in 2010 as GREYgroup’s General Accounts Manager. Over the previous ten years she worked on operations at Grey Mexico, Ogilvy Mexico and Ogilvy New York for brands such as IBM, SAP, American Express, Coca Cola and DHL. In June 2008 she joined Grey Group / G2 Mexico as Shopper Marketing Director and Customer Services Director responsible mainly for the development and execution of Shopper Marketing strategies for P&G, Nestlé and Diageo.
