The Partners collaborates with Britain's top illustrators for childrens' charity

26 April, 2011

LONDON — Britain’s leading illustrators have answered a call from award-winning design agency, The Partners, to take part in a mass children’s game – all in aid of London’s first children’s hospice, Richard House.

Having designed award-winning identities for two previous fundraising campaigns with Richard House, The Partners announces the launch of their latest work, in collaboration with 120 of the UK’s top illustrators including such talent as Tom Gauld, Supermundane, Adrian Johnson, Mr Bingo and Rose Stallard.

Richard House’s latest ‘GO RED!’ campaign encourages participants to raise money for the charity by doing almost anything such as eating, drawing, singing, dressing etc, as long as it involves the colour red. The Partners has designed a unique identity and imagery style, based on the popular childrens’ parlour game Consequences, to support the campaign and illustrate the flexibility in the concept of the idea.

Mike Paisley, Design Director at The Partners, said: “The Consequences-themed identity combines multiple images and words to build amusing, informative examples of how people might GO RED!

We thought it would be great to play a massive game of Consequences, so we asked top illustrators to contribute; each drawing a head, body or legs. The response was overwhelming, we owe them a huge thanks.”

The Partners has designed and built a website where visitors can create and print their own unique figure made up of the illustrations. There are 64,000 possible combinations, but only one of each combination will be produced for print, so visitors will need to be quick to get their pick of the bunch.

£60 gets you a one-off, unique print. If we sell them all, there’s the potential to raise approximately £3.8 million. The donations to Richard House will enable them to continue to provide free care and support for life-limited children, and children with complex healthcare conditions, and their families.

Niall Couper, director of communications at Richard House, added: “It’s been a truly rewarding adventure and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of the illustrators involved.

“The artwork is of the highest quality and it represents an opportunity to own a unique piece of work. On behalf of the children who use our services, we cannot thank those involved enough.”

To make your own unique print simply visit www.goinggoinggone-red.org. The website also includes full biographies of each of the 120 illustrators who have taken part.
