Syzygy UK flies in Brazilian talent to lead creative department

Agency appoints executive creative director from Agency Republic

Leading interactive agency Syzygy UK has secured Victor Sahate as its new Executive Creative Director. Sahate joins the digital shop from Agency Republic, where he led the design department, being responsible for the quality output of the agency across all clients. He also was responsible for producing and directing campaigns for Baileys Irish Cream, Bells and Boots USA.

Joining the agency at the end of August, Sahate will build on its extensive portfolio of digital campaigns, which includes the groundbreaking 2010 FRijj augmented reality ‘bottle recognition technology’ campaign. He will lead the creative department in producing a number of forthcoming projects, specifically an exciting new digital campaign for Mazda. He will also help the agency re-think its processes and communication models for the digital era.

Sahate joined Agency Republic in 2007 as senior art director, progressing quickly to head of design and creative director, holding the 2 roles for about 2.5 years. During this time his design department produced campaigns and interactive projects for big brands such as Playstation, Mercedes-Benz and Adidas and won more than 15 international awards including Cannes Cyber Lion, Eurobest and Tomorrow Awards.

Sahate began his career as a designer at He then helped founding the agency Gringo in Brazil, setting their quality standards that quickly led the agency to be known as one of the most inspiring creative agencies in the world.
