Agency increases its strategic capabilities
Syzygy Group has appointed John Bennett as Group Strategist. John will work across all three of the Syzygy’s UK agencies – Syzygy UK, Hi-Res! and Unique, working with clients on their digital strategies and with others in the senior team at Syzygy Group to adapt the agency’s own business model to what is a rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
John has been working as a freelance digital and transmedia strategist for clients like McCann Erickson on accounts including Microsoft, MasterCard and the Evening Standard. He started his career at BT managing ISP portals and leading production and content teams. From there he moved to a role as the Marketing Director of a venture-funded mobile video start-up. John is also a published novelist (Random House), he’s also written for TV and radio.
Mark Ellis, Deputy MD at Syzygy UK, said: “We’re delighted to have John on the team. He’s got a diverse background in digital strategy, with particular strengths in social media, content and mobile, three areas we believe are going to be drivers of growth in the digital sector in the next few years.”
John added: “The next few years are going to be really interesting as digital marketing starts to become a much more important platform for brand messages. Audience behaviours are currently running well ahead of brands on digital platforms. Strategic rather than tactical responses are required now. Soon brands will live or die by their digital strategies.” For more information, contact:
