H&K London appoints technology heavyweight Grant Currie

LONDON — Hill & Knowlton (H&K) announces the appointment of Bite Communications Global Director Grant Currie as Head of Technology, bringing 17 years specialist technology knowledge to H&K and a fresh new approach to its Technology sector team. Grant has a wealth of corporate, crisis and media experience working with clients including Microsoft, Sony, AMD, Cisco, Oracle, Capgemini and Palm.

Grant will report into CEO Richard Millar, with the remit to develop and grow the 20-strong Technology sector team, and ensure consistent and excellent client service for current clients including Intel, Casio and Truphone.

In his previous role, Grant was Global Director of Bite Communications and part of a global management team, as well as leading a number of accounts including Microsoft UK and AMD EMEA. At Bite he helped to drive a transformation strategy across the business following the acquisition of Upstream in Asia Pacific and developed a global business development programme. Prior to this Grant founded and ran Inferno Communications, growing the agency from three staff to a 30-strong, £2.9 million business that was ranked number 8 in the PR Week list of Technology PR Agencies. Grant was also inaugural Chairman of the PRCA’s Technology PR Steering Committee.
