Young & Rubicam Uruguay presents its last campaign for Uruguay Natural with Diego Forlán, Best player of World Cup 2010

URUGUAY — Last Friday 5th November, the advertising campaign of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Uruguay was launched to promote Uruguay as a touristic destination.

The protagonist of the campaign is the Uruguayan footballer Diego Forlán, recognized as the Best player of World Cup 2010 in South Africa. “One of the campaign’s main goals is to capitalize the popularity of the idol Forlán, while promoting our country”, said Diego Lazcano, General Creative Director of Young & Rubicam Uruguay. Forlán is such a referent of Uruguay that, even before the World Cup, he appeared linked to 80% of the articles published on the Internet, which made reference to Uruguay.

In the different advertising spots recorded in Spain, Diego Forlán promotes Uruguay as a touristic destination for the rest of the world. The spots will only be broadcasted in the main television channels of Central America.
