Luke Waldren joins as Managing Partner at Grey Melbourne

MELBOURNE — Luke Waldren will join Grey Melbourne as Managing Partner. He brings with him over 20 years of advertising experience and a strong sense of business acumen built through his experience running his own enterprise called Abundant Media.

He started his stellar career in 1989, with JWT Melbourne and since then has worked at a number of agencies including Lintas, FCB, and JWT Detroit before eventually joining Singleton Ogilvy & Mather in 2003, initially as Executive Director and after six months, Managing Director.

Four years after, Waldren left advertising to start a branded content business known as Abundant Media. In the three years that followed, he was involved in launching major projects such as Holdiays For Sale (, The Platinum File and a successful program in National Newsprint and online called The Test ( Abundant’s current brand funded projects include a radio and IPTV show for the Australian Football League and a National health initiative called Get It Off.

Talking of his appointment, Paul Gardner, Group Chairman of Grey Group Australia and New Zealand says, “Luke is a Melbourne boy, with a great deal of traditional and new media experience across many categories. We are incredibly fortunate to have Luke agree to leave his own successful business and rejoin the industry he really loves.”

Luke is married with three children.
