O&M Asia Pacific ECD Eugene Cheong added, "There is nothing superficial about Bill. He's a China veteran and knows the market inside out. Bill is unique in that he can provide our clients with deep strategic answers and a broader global perspective. He can represent China to the world and the world to China. A powerful combination, indeed.”

Speaking of his new position, Bill Chan said he joined Ogilvy because he is inspired by the agency’s creative energy and atmosphere and is eager to tackle a new professional

Chan elaborated, “Throughout my candidacy I came to understand that Raymond Tao is a man of great ideals and integrity, and our values are very much in sync. For an ECD, his partner is his boss. If the two people share a common vision and goal, they can achieve great things.”
