MediaCom Worldwide strengthen Insights and Data teams
27 January, 2010
MediaCom Worldwide have announced today several key hires and promotions within their Consumer Insight and Data Solutions teams as part of their ongoing commitment to provide clients with a gold standard level of service and groundbreaking propriety systems to support their media planning.
In line with their ‘People First’ philosophy, MediaCom have further strengthened their Consumer Insight division, to ensure that their clients have a real and full understanding of their target audiences. In addition, they will be rolling out their Real World Street programme further in 2010 which in the past year alone has seen four more streets developed in the APAC region including China, Australia and Singapore under the leadership of Robert Fry. This brings the current tally of exclusive MediaCom Real World Streets to eight with an additional eight planned in the next 12 months.
Robert has been promoted to the role of Regional Head of Insight for APAC in recognition of his management of the APAC Real World Street rollouts and his work on establishing an Asia Insights intranet for MediaCom and the introduction of bespoke online research solutions that work with Asian texts.
Gastón Betoled has also been promoted to the role of Regional Head of Insight for LatAm. Both have worked for MediaCom for over 4 years and previously were research directors in their region.
Both roles will work closely with Mick Mernagh, MediaCom’s Global Chief Insight officer,
with their main responsibilities being supporting and developing the local MediaCom Insight departments, both with their current clients and new business pitches. They will also be involved in the implementation, training and development of new Insight techniques and tools in the region.
Mick Mernagh, Global Chief Insight Officer at MediaCom said "Both gentlemen will be a great asset to the management of our global Insight network. It's another great opportunity to build on the MediaCom team from our own ranks"
In December 2009, Lowell Simpson was promoted to Chief Data Solutions Officer at Mediacom Worldwide based in New York. In this role Lowell will lead Mediacom’s client facing technologies and applications strategy, development and deployment
The new Global Data Solutions team will be enhanced by the promotion of three people, Adrian King who in his role of APAC and Data Hub Leader will continue to lead our efforts in APAC, including the management of data hubs in Guangzhou and Manila.
Morgan Priddle will act as Global Project Manager and be based in London. Morgan’s eight years experience of working with major clients developing bespoke systems will be utilised to provide unparalleled client service.
Carlos Brito, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan has also been promoted to Engineering Manager, Global Data Solutions. Carlos’ deep experience within the digital engineering team in the US for the past two years will be an asset to the development and enhancement of the technologies we deploy.
Lowell Simpson says of the new team “These three gentlemen bring an enormous amount of experience, technical expertise and business knowledge to the Global Data Solutions team. The ability to build a global team directly from within Mediacom is a true testament to the “People First, Better Results” philosophy we follow here at MediaCom.”
Harvey Goldhersz, MediaCom World Wide COO stated “These promotions are consistent with MediaCom’s commitment to support the expanding needs or our clients in fast growing territories such as Asia and Latin America. These promotions also support our belief that winning brands in the information age will be those with the best ability to transform volumes of data into meaningful insight."
