Burson-Marsteller has the right medicine in 2010

— Burson-Marsteller Australia today announced several new initiatives in the healthcare arena following competitive pitch processes. Two of the campaigns have been awarded with existing B-M clients, Gilead and sanofi-aventis, and the third represents a new client relationship with leading weight loss product IsoWhey®.

Gilead late last year appointed Burson-Marsteller to manage communication surrounding the launch of a new PBS-reimbursed medication. Work includes development of a video for healthcare professionals, stakeholder engagement and media relations. The program follows the recent successful launch of anther PBS-reimbursed medication, where the consultancy specifically targeted communication towards ethnic communities at high-risk of hepatitis B.
Sanofi-aventis has also extended its relationship with Burson-Marsteller following a competitive pitch process, relating to an important PBS extension for one of its landmark pharmaceutical products. Work will include key message development, stakeholder engagement, social media education and media relations.
In addition, Burson-Marsteller has commenced work with a new healthcare client, IsoWhey®. IsoWhey® is a meal replacement product, specially formulated to provide high quality whey protein and essential nutrients, making it an important part of any weight management plan. Work will focus on media relations and stakeholder support for the team’s weight management program.
