Robert Eakins appointed to lead GCI Health Canada

NEW YORK, NY – GCI Health, a healthcare public relations agency, today announced the appointment of Robert Eakins as its Canadian leader. In this new position, Eakins will develop strategies and activities for clients that uniquely address corporate and brand requirements in today‟s complex healthcare environment - from announcing Health Canada approvals to building campaigns around national and provincial drug recommendations and formulary listings.

Robert was most recently at MS&L Canada where he was Senior Vice President and Healthcare Practice Leader. In this role, he was responsible for the development of new business and providing senior strategic counsel on communications mandates, social media programs and public relations/ affairs campaigns for hospital and provincial formulary listings, Health Canada approvals and outcomes of Common Drug Review. A select few of the many clients Robert managed at MS&L included Sanofi-Aventis, Sanofi Pasteur, Bayer HealthCare (including Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Care and Diabetes Care), Janssen-Ortho, and GlaxoSmithKline.
