Clarion wins PR brief for fine foods firm R.H. Amar

LONDON — Clarion Communications has been appointed to handle corporate and product PR for leading fine food company R.H. Amar & Co Ltd.

The six-figure contract was handed to Clarion by the family-owned importer and distributor following a competitive pitch process.

R.H. Amar, which is based in Buckinghamshire and was established in 1945, distributes 40 fine food brands, including Bertolli olive oil, Mary Berry dressings and sauces, Del Monte fruit products, Sacla sauces and pestos, and Cardini salad dressings.

Clarion’s product PR activity will involve two areas: raising consumer awareness of leading Italian tinned tomato brand Cirio, and establishing R.H. Amar’s house brand Cooks & Co, which has a wide range of products and kitchen ingredients such as olives, oils and sauces.
