Wunderman taps Becky Chidester for Wunderman World Health

David Shulman named to top New York slot

NEW YORK
 — Becky Chidester, who has served as Wunderman New York’s top executive since 2007, takes on a new role as president, Wunderman World Health. Digital veteran David Shulman takes the New York reins. In Chidester’s newly created role, she unites Wunderman’s health care expertise with leadership in data, direct and digital marketing, creating a powerful cross-channel offering to the growing health care marketplace. Wunderman World Health covers pharmaceuticals, health insurance, services and devices, OTC’s and nutritionals, eye care and wellness.

Chidester brings to the role rich health care credentials, public policy roots and global knowledge of Wunderman and WPP. In this new role, she will be based in Washington, D.C. and reports to Wunderman chairman and CEO, Daniel Morel.

“My top priority is establishing a clear value proposition that places Wunderman World Health among the premier strategic thought leaders and quality service providers in the global health care market,” said Chidester. “Our goal is to diversify Wunderman’s already strong U.S. credentials and expand our health care business across all regions.”

Chidester is supported by a core strategic team of health care experts from New York and Singapore and Wunderman network partners KnowledgeBase Marketing and RTCRM, which have strong experience in the health care sector. Additional resources will be added in a matrix reporting structure as Wunderman World Health expands.

Shulman Takes Over in New York
David Shulman assumes the role of president for Wunderman’s New York office. Shulman is a global digital leader with a penchant for entrepreneurship and a track record of growth. He inherits a full roster of clients including: Nokia, Citi, Dell, Land Rover, Diageo, and Kimberly Clark.

Shulman comes to Wunderman from Enfatico, where he was chief digital officer. There, David established a global digital discipline to drive digital innovation and collaboration. David starts immediately and reports to vice chairman and COO, David Sable.

Shulman has served as a member of the WPP Digital Advisory Board, making him ideally suited to draw on the digital, data and CRM resources from Blast Radius, ZAAZ, KnowledgeBase Marketing and RTCRM.

Before Enfatico, Shulman spent nine years at Digitas, the last two as managing director in Detroit, an office he founded, which, under his leadership, grew to 200 people and was recognized by Crain’s Detroit as one of the “coolest places to work.” In 2008, Crain’s Detroit named Shulman as a finalist to its prestigious “40 under 40” list.
