Gilles Peterson promotes album on real and virtual posters using

Internationally-renowned DJ Gilles Peterson’s quest for ’the perfect beat’ has brought his music onto posters, through, for the first time, to promote his new album, ’Gilles Peterson Presents Havana Cultura’. And, in a twist worthy of someone with Gilles’ passion for the new and unique, the album launch will also mark the launch of’s brand new Facebook ’virtual billboard’ application, as its first user.’s ’create your own billboard’ application allows users to create billboard artwork by uploading photos from their Facebook photo albums to produce a personalised ad ’in situ’. Gilles will use his real poster artwork to create a virtual billboard for his fan page, and ask his fans to repost the billboard on their own and their friends’ pages, taking his album launch campaign viral across Facebook.

Along with the viral billboard campaign, ’Gilles Peterson Presents Havana Cultura’ posters will be displayed on real billboards in some if the UK’s most cutting-edge locations – in the heart of Camden Town and Shoreditch on Primesight panels, plus on Forrest Media’s stunning digital screens in the centre of Manchester and Glasgow.

The ’virtual’ billboard campaign launches on 26th October, when the CD is released. The ’real’ poster campaign runs for two weeks from 2nd November.
