Kinetic appoints Carolyn Nugent to the position of UK Head of Digital

Kinetic today announces the appointment of Carolyn Nugent to the position of UK Head of Digital. Nugent’s post follows the appointment of Dennis Kuperus earlier this month to Digital Director EMEA and is part of a wider strategic push by the company into this fast growth Out of Home channel. Reporting to James Copley UK MD, Nugent will work with Kuperus to develop Kinetic’s strong existing digital Out of Home strategy across the UK.

Kinetic is a major buyer of DOOH, spending in the region of £45m over the last two years. Nugent will bring together Kinetic’s experience of effective digital Out of Home planning and promote the possibilities of the medium to the broader advertising community, calling on Kinetic’s range of services, tools and expertise.

Earlier this year Kinetic’s research program proved that digital posters attract more attention for longer periods of time than printed posters. In another industry first, Kinetic launched the UK DOOH Handbook 2009, providing comprehensive media, technical and creative information for all UK networks. Nugent will help build on this research and drive understanding of the real value of digital and how best to use and develop the medium.

Nugent’s outdoor career began in 1995 at Poster Publicity where she was responsible for a range of agencies and clients such as Starcom MediaVest and the BBC. Following the launch of Kinetic, Nugent became Strategic Planning Director and played a key role in securing the Unilever account and was also responsible for the implementation of "ACADEMY", Kinetic's bespoke suite of planning and buying tools. Since 2007, Nugent has worked for Kinetic on a consultative basis.
