Kawa Zhu named General Manager of O&M Advertising Guangzhou

— Ogilvy & Mather Advertising has appointed Kawa Zhu as General
Manager of its Guangzhou office, reiterating its commitment to the southern China market and displaying a concentrated effort to strengthen integration across the agency’s China offices.
Kawa Zhu will be responsible for leading new business efforts, staff development and
management and will also lend strong support to Charles Chiu, Chairman of Ogilvy Guangzhou Group, to deliver high-quality and timely client service to the agency’s growing roster of clients.
Kawa is no stranger to brand marketing, and has worked on telecommunications, finance,
FMCG, real estate, electrical appliances and healthcare brands. Prior to Ogilvy, he worked for
Hopson, a well known real estate corporation in South China, and before that Dyne Pharma,
gaining considerable experience in planning and brand marketing.
This marks another key appointment for Ogilvy in China, following Executive Creative Director
Charles Chiu’s appointment as Chairman of Ogilvy Guangzhou Group at the end of 2008.
