Neo@Ogilvy successfully integrates Baidu.com API
17 March, 2008
Today, Neo@Ogilvy, a full-service digital and direct media division of OgilvyOne, announced the integration of Baidu’s Application Programming Interface (API) with Neo’s Keyword Management Tool. This will help Ogilvy’s clients to better understand the effects of their search campaigns in a world that is becoming increasingly digital. Ogilvy is the first 4A Agency in China with the ability to record and analyze Baidu’s keyword data.
The Neo@Ogilvy and Microchannel Technologies effort facilitated the integration of China’s leading search engine, Baidu.com. Baidu leads every major foreign search engine with its unparalleled ability to facilitate Chinese language search, and the Neo team has succeeded in integrating their technologies to provide a platform for multiple languages and currencies. The real strength of this platform, besides keyword and bid management, is its ability to consolidate and streamline data collection and analytics. It removes the need for using independent PPC engines’ systems to manage keywords and bids, as well as removes the need for third party analytics that can affect the budget of digital campaigns.
“We are very happy to cooperate with Neo@Ogilvy,” said Wang Zhan, Director of Search Marketing at Baidu.com. “As the leading Chinese language search engine, it is important for us to work with the very best digital media agency, and that is clearly Neo@Ogilvy. We very much see this as a win-win situation: Baidu is able to firmly support Neo’s technology and analytics, and Neo will help improve Baidu’s image and quality.”
"Our industry cannot neglect Baidu's leading position in search marketing. We expect the integration of this Bid Management Tool to propel real growth in our clients' search marketing strategies and take them to a new level," said Richard Wang, Executive Deputy General Manager of Neo@Ogilvy. “This is one of the truly unique services Neo provides. With its strategic thinking, the launch of this Keyword Management Tool will provide a combination of advanced technology and human analysis, which will greatly increase client satisfaction by developing more effective campaigns."
“Neo@Ogilvy is an integral part of our end-to-end digital marketing services, and continues to innovate with its digital media and search offerings. This new tool enables us to provide clients with more transparency for their search campaigns and feeds us additional data to provide clients with real time optimization of their campaigns. We are very pleased to be the first 4A agency to have achieved this,” added Chris Reitermann, President of OgilvyOne China.”
The Keyword Management Tool has been fully tested and is currently operational. It is available from Neo.Search@Ogilvy for client use at any time. Contact
