O&M names new India President for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide

Mumbai – Ogilvy & Mather India today named Arijit Sengupta the new National Head of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in India.

Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman and National Creative Director, O&M India called Arijit a “terrific talent,” and added “we are very delighted to have him on board. PR is a core component of our 360 degree Brand Stewardship strategy, and we are optimistic about its future growth in India.”

Arijit comes to Ogilvy from Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick, a unit of The Interpublic Group of Companies.

A Post Graduate in Financial Management and Mass Communications, Arijit has been with Weber Shandwick for over 7 years and has overall 17 years experience in Marketing and Communication.

Christopher Graves, Regional CEO of Ogilvy PR, says Arijit is joining at an historic time.

Arijit’s earlier experience includes senior positions in companies like Euromoney Group and The Times of India. He has also worked with Ruder Finn, which is a large Investor Relations firm headquartered in New York. He led the communication outreach programme - Pre IPO for Geometric Software Solutions Ltd. He had also successfully launched the Communication Campaign for Prudential ICICI, ICICI PFS and ITC Threadneedle.

Arijit is a visiting faculty at IIM – Bangalore and has been associated with MICA for the past 10 years.
