Coley Porter Bell creates new brand identity for global roofing company Monier

Coley Porter Bell has created a new brand identity and guidelines for global roofing company Monier, formerly known as Lafarge Roofing. A visual marque and word marque have been created to give the world leader in pitched roofing products a highly visible brand positioning.

Monier has been developed as the global masterbrand and will also be used to endorse various product brands (Braas, Redland, Tégula, Wierer, RuppCeramika and Cotto Coperture) in individual territories. The new identity reflects the company’s quality positioning and will be used on all the communication, product and estate materials including roofing tiles, advertising, brochures, web and merchandise. It will appear in diverse global territories from South America to South Africa, Scandinavia to Asia, Eastern and Western Europe.

The identity is a significant departure from the traditional visuals used in the building materials sector. It is emotive and positive, with energy to represent the forward thinking and visionary corporate outlook. The addition of brush strokes injects an informal tone, and the varied colour palette adds a contemporary touch. The word marque uses a specially crafted logotype to help create stand out for Monier within the building community.
