VML named Interactive Creative AOR for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages

KANSAS CITY, MO (March 28, 2007) – VML, a WPP company based in Kansas City, Missouri, and one of the world’s leading marketing technology companies, announced today that it was selected to lead the digital marketing business for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages (CSAB), and will become its new interactive creative and development agency of record (AOR). CSAB is one of the leading producers of beverages in the Americas, with a portfolio of more than 50 soft drinks, ready-to-drink teas, juices, mixers and other premium beverages.

VML was awarded the business through a rigorous RFP process that included many of the nation’s other top interactive agencies. Prior to the selection of VML as AOR, Cadbury Schweppes split the work among a variety of agencies.

As interactive AOR, VML will handle digital strategy, website development, online creative and online media production as well as emerging technology engagements. Mediaedge Interaction retains interactive media planning duties for CSAB. Initially, VML will handle work for a variety of Cadbury Schweppes’ most historic and well-known brands, such as Dr Pepper, 7UP, Sunkist, Snapple, Mott’s, Rose’s, Yoo-hoo, Nantucket Nectars and A&W Root Beer.

VML will partner with existing Cadbury Schweppes roster agencies to ensure that the digital presence is seamlessly integrated with all communications. Current agencies include MEC, Young & Rubicam, Cliff Freeman, Laird and Ammo.
