Emerge and Wunderman merge

The merger means that Emerge/Wunderman occupies a unique position that reflects the growing need to market oneself in a world where consumers’ attention is in short supply.

Emerge and Wunderman in Denmark join forces in order to overtake the yellow jersey within direct and relationship marketing. This means that clients will benefit from a collaboration based on superior national and international experience and expertise.

Jan Werner, CEO of Emerge, says," The true winners are our clients. Wunderman has years of experience within traditional direct marketing and database marketing, while Emerge has produced unique solutions within digital and dialogue marketing. Jan Werner will become CEO of EmergeWunderman. Regarding the plans for the merger, he adds, "Our growth will follow that of our clients. We record an understandable tendency among our clients to use an increasing share of the budget on measurable solutions that generate new sales, additional sales or increased customer loyalty. The clients want to know exactly what their money is spent on. They want to see a business case and know that they will get a positive return of investment. We can give them exactly that".

The perfect partnership
David Sable, chairman and CEO of Wunderman EMEA is also enthusiastic about the perspectives of the merger. "The expansion of the Wunderman network – in expertise and experience, not just size – is important to us so that we can deliver ultimate levels of service to our clients across all relationship marketing channels, wherever we are located. Emerge’s special skills in interactive marketing will add an extra dimension to Wunderman’s technology offering and bring in new thinking, David Sable adds. An open door to the global stage
For Emerge the merger will produce not only the obvious benefit of access to the international arena, but also to the talent and experience of the global Wunderman network. "Through the past year I have personally had the opportunity to assess the value of the network – and I am surprised how flexible and operational it really is", says Jan Werner.

Collaboration already a success
Chandra Benjamin Mostov, partner in EmergeWunderman, has no doubts that the merger will prove successful: "For some time Emerge and Wunderman have worked together on various projects, and for the past three years we have shared the same address. This means that we already know each other prior to the merger and are positive that the two companies are compatible as far as cultures, competences and businesses are concerned.
