rmg:connect rolled out

The J. Walter Thompson Company today announces the worldwide roll-out of its strategic customer relationship marketing operation,rmg:connect. The network will be managed by Philip Greenfield, currently CEO of OgilvyOne (Europe, Middle East, Africa) EMEA who will re-locate to New York. It will offer direct marketing, interactive and promotional services for JWT clients in the burgeoning CRM market.
rmg:connect was first launched by JWT in February 2002 in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region under the leadership of Nelly Andersen. In less than three years, the network has established offices in eight key markets and works for existing and new clients including Shell, Vodafone, HSBC, Pfizer, Unilever, DTC (the Diamond Trading Company), Nestle, and Smart. The worldwide roll-out capitalises on this successful model.
JWT’s existing North American CRM operation, connect@jwt, will be incorporated into rmg:connect. connect@jwt offers CRM solutions to clients including US Marine Corps, HSBC, Unilever, 3M, Telus, and Orkin. The business is currently under the leadership of Mary Beth Casey. Worldwide expenditure by clients on CRM is estimated to have grown from $16.8 billion in 2001 to $36 billion by 2005.As clients increasingly access non-traditional forms of media and consumers become more media savvy and technologically inclined, we will now be positioned to offer strategic CRM, online and offline, on a global basis."
Philip Greenfield will run the North American rmg:connect business in addition to leading the worldwide network. He will be supported in North America by Mary Beth Casey as Chief Operating Officer.
