WPP Team wins Thresher account

The Store, WPP’s retail portal, co-ordinated the winning pitch against 5 other agencies, offering an integrated programme from Perspectives Red Cell, MindShare, Wunderman, The Henley Centre and Cohn & Wolfe. The account will be led by Perspectives Red Cell and MindShare.

David Williams, Thresher’s new CEO said, “We were looking for a strong, integrated team to rebuild the equity we have in our brand, our customers, our stores and our people and position us clearly as market leader. We were extremely impressed by The Store’s pragmatic approach and retail expertise. First Quench has a marvellous opportunity to consolidate its leadership of the off licence market working with our key suppliers. The move we are announcing today underlines our determination to invest in the business and focus its efforts in growing the Brand equity of Thresher Wine Shops which have over 1500 stores throughout the country.”
